How to Style a Fall Tiered Tray

The air is cooler, the leaves are starting to change colour and you dig out your sweaters from the back of the closet. Fall has arrived. The season of fall is a time of change and reset. Back to school is in the fall. Starting new routines. Changing what we wear. Wrapping up our summer activities and preparing for the colder weather ahead.

Fall has always been a beautiful time to enjoy the harvest of the garden. The weather is cooler to be able to go for walks and hikes. Apple season is in full swing and pumpkins are ready for picking.

I love a tiered tray on our kitchen island. For fall I wanted to add colours of yellow, orange, and natural tones. I purchased these great mini pots of fall foliage at Ikea. The versatility of these little pots is endless. I placed mine inside of little mini terracotta pots.

My favourite wooden houses that I purchased long ago at Target are always a staple. They work in all seasons. Investing in a simple staple decor item like this is a great idea for home decor.

Winners is always a win ( ha ha) for all things candles and decor. Picking up a seasonal scented candle is usually possible for under $20. This candle is called Pumpkin Spice and Buttered Croissant and it smells delicious.

I add in a couple of pumpkins on each of the tiers. These can be real or faux. I have had the knitted pumpkins for a long time and don’t remember where I got them. Craft stores and dollar stores offer a good selection of seasonal items. These items add texture and depth to your tray.

As a final touch I add in a little bit of spanish moss as filler, and tuck in some faux leaves here and there. The end results are a beautiful fall tray that feels cozy and celebrates the crisp air and the changing leaves. Happy Fall everyone!
